GAI GHERARDI • IN MEMORIAM

With heavy hearts, we mourn the untimely passing of l.a.Eyeworks' co-founder / designer Gai Gherardi on March 16, 2025, in Los Angeles.

Gai brought immeasurable gifts to this world, and she shared them generously with all of us. The sparkling trails of inspiring optimism, spontaneous love, and exuberant color she left wherever she went are now ours to follow and treasure. 

Gai was always delighted to be on the path of discovery, whether it was through her design work, her abiding love and reverence for artists and musicians, or the wide, inviting table she and Barbara McReynolds set for the world with l.a.Eyeworks.

Gai's unique, indelible, and unforgettable manifestation of herself was a mirror in which each of us could find permission to reveal new layers of our own selves -- and the bravery to be fearless in doing so. She would want nothing more than for each of us to continue acting upon that encouragement.
