l.a.Eyeworks starred as "the world's most luxurious eyewear" in an inaugural exhibition at Stockholm's new design museum Forum for Form. "Limitless Luxury" showed August 4th through August 16th. The swank opening event drew over 600 beautiful Swedes and swarming press coverage. Princess Christina of Sweden attended the gala festivities where caviar and champagne flowed. The show focuses on 25 of life's most luxurious concepts, ranging from a sideboard by Cappellini to whimsical ideas like an unlimited supply of clean white underwear by John Smedley. l.a.Eyeworks Gai Gherardi and Barbara McReynolds created a show-stopping installation based on the very luxurious concept of Uncensored Visions. Eight l.a.Eyeworks - designed eyeglass frames in shiny silver with clear lenses are tagged with the corresponding day of the week from Monday through Monday and beyond. More luxury includes "caviar on tap" --a real Russian sturgeon swimming in an aquarium, the interior of a personal supersonic jet with chinchilla fur airline seats by Fendi in cooperation with SAS. High on Wallpaper's luxury list: the value of space--ten empty meters, as well as three good friends.   Gucci and many others are included.  Limitless Luxury exhibitions are planned for London this fall and New York next year. |
