l.a.Eyeworks puts its money where the heart is. Homestead Hospice awards l.a.Eyeworks for 7 years of activism via the "Luck" frame. l.a.Eyeworks John Sanger and Ruth Handel received the award at a fundraising event with 400 guests in attendance. In 1993, the designers created the "Luck" frame which was featured in an eloquent ad portrait of friend Aileen Getty, an artist living with AIDS. Gherardi and McReynolds dedicated a portion of the proceeds from the new "Luck" frame in perpetuity to the Homestead Hospice and a runaway success was born. Over the last six years the single frame has allowed l.a.Eyeworks to continuously donate to Homestead.
