Renowned singer-songwriter-author Jake Shears is the newest star to join l.a.Eyeworks’ illustrious portrait ad series, photographed by acclaimed lensman Greg Gorman. Wearing the frame design SKIPJACK from the F/W 2017 collection, Shears is captured in Gorman’s lush black-and-white signature style.

Having scaled the music charts for nearly a decade as the frontman and lead songwriter of the multiplatinum-selling glam rock band Scissor Sisters, the charismatic Shears is on a rapid roll of solo “firsts,” including the recent release of a namesake single “Creep City” in advance of a solo album, the forthcoming publication of a memoir “Boys Keep Swinging” (Atria/Simon & Schuster, February 2018), capped off by his forthcoming Broadway debut in the central role of Charlie Price in “Kinky Boots” (January 8-April 1, 2018).
